The Select program is an additional, more competitive playing opportunity for grades 5–8. Players must also play on a Classic team for their age group, and commit to one extra practice per week plus a game, usually on Friday nights or Saturdays, against other towns' Select teams. It requires a tryout in early spring. MYL Select has division standings, playoffs, and a championship game, and select players are eligible for MYL's Single-Grade All-Star Teams.
