Somerville Youth Softball, known as the Jr. Highlanders, is a nonprofit girls' youth softball organization in Somerville, MA (started by the Yellow Diamonds, a 501(c)(3) per its older league site). It fields spring, summer, and fall teams for girls ages 5-18, with spring divisions at 8U, 10U, 12U, and 14U playing at Trum Field, Lincoln Park, and Dilboy Field. The organization received a Pitch In For Baseball & Softball equipment grant in fall 2025 and an ARPA grant in fall 2024 to subsidize registration and league expenses.
No registration timing published on the current Google Sites homepage; the older league site (bluesombrero) lists spring seasons running late April to mid-June.
