Newton Youth Soccer (NYS) is the community soccer organization for Newton, MA, promoting youth soccer since 1976. It is known as the 'boys' league to distinguish it from Newton Girls Soccer, but girls are welcome in its programs. About 1,300 players enroll annually, making it one of the largest single-town programs in the country. It runs intramural and BAYS travel programs in the fall and spring, plus a U8 Academy for 1st-2nd graders, clinics, vacation programs, and winter futsal/soccer.
Registration is via Blue Sombrero (registration.bluesombrero.com/1177). The site currently advertises Winter Futsal registration open and HS Travel (grades 9-12) registration open, but no annual registration calendar is published.
