The Lexington Youth Basketball Association (LYBA) is made up of competitive travel basketball teams for boys and girls living in or going to public school in Lexington, Massachusetts (the home page says grades 3-8; the registration page says grades 4-8). LYBA teams play in the MetroWest basketball league. Its mission is to offer skilled and committed players a competitive experience that improves basketball ability, teaches good teamwork, and supports Lexington's high school teams; teams practice twice a week and the season runs December through February with playoffs in early March.
Site banner reads '2026-27 Tryout Registration is Open'. Tryouts are typically held the last week of September and first week of October, with teams announced 1-2 weeks later. No fixed annual open/close calendar published.
